Justice Ministry Launches E-Payment Service for Civil Case Fees in Selected Courts

Cairo: The Ministry of Justice has announced the launch of a remote electronic fee payment service for civil lawsuits across several primary courts and their sub-courts, as part of the State's digital transformation strategy for the judicial system and efforts to facilitate procedures for citizens and lawyers.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the new service aims to enhance the efficiency of the justice system and provide advanced digital solutions that help expedite litigation procedures and achieve prompt justice. The ministry's statement highlighted that this initiative is intended to simplify litigation procedures and reduce overcrowding inside courts by enabling the electronic payment of fees without the need for in-person attendance. This aligns with the State's broader drive toward digital transformation and improved quality of public services.

The service is currently available in the primary courts and their sub-courts in North Cairo, South Cairo, North Assiut, South Assiut, North Mansoura, South Damanhour, and Kafr El-Sheikh, with the exception of the Biella sub-court and its jurisdiction. The Ministry of Justice plans to expand the service gradually to include other courts nationwide in the coming period.
