Rafah: The Rafah border crossing in North Sinai welcomed a new group of Palestinians returning to the Gaza Strip on Sunday, May 3, 2026. Sources at the crossing said that procedures for the new group are currently being finalized to facilitate their return to Gaza.

According to State Information Service Egypt, a team from the Egyptian Red Crescent received the returning Palestinians at the Rafah crossing. The Red Crescent teams are coordinating with the relevant authorities to ease the process, distributing return bags and providing psychological support to children.

Egyptian Red Crescent teams were deployed at the Rafah crossing on the Egyptian side to provide humanitarian assistance to Palestinians. This included psychological support for children, family reunification services, the provision of warm clothing, personal care items, and the distribution of "return bags" to those returning to the Gaza Strip.
