SIS Celebrates 44th Anniversary of Sinai Liberation Day with Nationwide Events

Cairo: Chairman of the State Information Service (SIS) Ambassador Alaa Youssef announced that SIS will organize expanded celebrations across various information centers in the governorates on the occasion of the 44th anniversary of Sinai Liberation Day, as part of its role in promoting national awareness and establishing an objective and balanced understanding of Egypt's modern history.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the head of SIS affirmed that this occasion represents one of the pivotal milestones in the history of the Egyptian state, not only as a culmination of military and national efforts but also as a model reflecting the state's ability to manage complex challenges through multiple approaches that combine strength, political will, and diplomatic action.

He explained that the events organized by the internal information centers aim to provide a comprehensive vision for younger generations regarding the epic of reclaiming Sinai, enhancing their awareness of the scale of sacrifices made, while deepening their understanding of the importance of preserving the nation's achievements.

He said the celebrations will include a series of public conferences, educational seminars, and dialogue sessions with the participation of experts and specialists, in addition to documentary screenings highlighting the stages of Sinai's recovery, as well as development efforts taking place in the peninsula reflecting its transformation from a zone of conflict into a model of development and stability.

He added that commemorating Sinai Liberation Day represents an opportunity to raise public awareness of regional and international challenges, and the importance of adopting a balanced discourse that reflects the constants of the Egyptian state and reinforces concepts of belonging and responsibility among citizens.

Youssef emphasized that these efforts align with the state's policy under President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, which places special emphasis on building the Egyptian human being and promoting conscious awareness capable of addressing various challenges.

He affirmed that the State Information Service will continue to carry out its awareness-raising role through modern tools and responsible media discourse that balances pride in the past with anticipation of the future, contributing to strengthening internal cohesion amid current developments.
