Cairo: Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouly has issued a decision designating Thursday, May 7, 2026, as a paid official holiday for employees in ministries, government agencies, public authorities, local administration units, public sector companies, public business sector firms, and the private sector, in observance of Labor Day.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the holiday is to be observed instead of Friday, May 1, 2026, the official date of the occasion.
