President El-Sisi Meets President of Hiroshima University to Enhance Educational Cooperation


Cairo: Today on Wednesday April 29, 2026, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with the President of Hiroshima University, Mitsuo Ochi, in the presence of Prime Minister Dr. Moustafa Madbouly, Minister of Education and Technical Education Mohamed Abdel Latif, Vice President of the University Shinji Kaneko, and Japan’s Ambassador in Cairo Fumio Iwai.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Spokesman for the Presidency Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy stated that President El-Sisi expressed Egypt’s appreciation for the distinguished relations and longstanding partnership with Japan in the fields of basic and higher education. He commended the fruitful and constructive cooperation between Egypt and Hiroshima University.

The President emphasized Egypt’s interest in expanding cooperation with Japan in education and pedagogy, aiming to support Egypt’s efforts to develop curricula and enhance the quality and standards of education. This initiative includes maximizing the benefits of modern technological applicat
ions in the education sector by adopting the latest technological tools, such as Artificial Intelligence, to equip students with the best scientific methods and prepare them for the job market.

The President of Hiroshima University expressed his pleasure at visiting Egypt and meeting with President El-Sisi, highlighting the University’s appreciation for the longstanding cooperation with the Egyptian government. He praised Egypt’s efforts in developing educational programs and the education system overall. During his visit, he reviewed efforts related to the application of modern educational methods and reaffirmed the University’s commitment to continue collaborating with the Egyptian government to strengthen fruitful cooperation and support Egypt’s educational priorities.
