Abdel Ghaffar Participates in Opening of Global Health Summit in Nairobi

Nairobi: Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar participated in the opening of the Global Health Summit currently being held in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, heading the official Egyptian delegation. Kenyan President William Ruto received Abdel Ghaffar and his accompanying delegation upon their arrival to take part in the opening session.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Egypt's participation in the summit reflects the country's commitment to strengthening health cooperation with fellow African nations and exchanging expertise and innovative solutions to address shared health challenges. The summit is considered a high-level international platform that brings together decision-makers and experts to discuss issues such as digital transformation in healthcare, pandemic preparedness, and support for African health systems, with the aim of building more efficient and resilient systems capable of responding to emergencies.

This participation underscores Egypt's commitment to its leading role in promoting continental health security and supporting African countries' efforts to achieve comprehensive and sustainable universal health coverage.
