Cairo: Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Salah el Din Mostafa announced the establishment of a production line for the K9 A1 EGY howitzer system, considered one of the world's most advanced artillery systems. The minister underscored the ministry's dedication to advancing its defense products and embracing the latest global technologies.According to State Information Service Egypt, Minister Mostafa highlighted that the Ministry of Military Production has consistently been a pivotal element of Egypt's military manufacturing. Its primary mission is to fulfill the needs of the Armed Forces and police, providing ammunition, weapons, equipment, and cutting-edge electronic systems. The minister explained that the ministry's strategic aim is to boost the nation's manufacturing capabilities, especially in the military sector, by localizing modern technologies within its companies and developing new defense products tailored for the Egyptian Armed Forces.The minister emphasized that such capabiliti es enhance Egypt's military superiority, serving as a deterrent and ensuring national security. This capability reassures the Egyptian population of the nation's sovereignty defense. He also mentioned the development of the RAAD-200 rocket launcher, an armored vehicle-mounted system created through the collaborative efforts of several ministry-affiliated companies.Additionally, the minister noted that the national role of the Ministry of Military Production extends beyond military applications. It includes leveraging surplus production capacities to produce competitively priced, high-quality civilian products, supporting domestic industries.
