PM: Sinai Development Remains State Priority

North sinai: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly said that his visit to North Sinai on Sunday, April 19, 2026, confirms that developing the peninsula remains a top priority for the state.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Madbouly emphasized during a meeting with local representatives and tribal leaders that the government will continue development work in the governorate over the coming years. He noted clear progress compared with his previous visit in 2023, highlighting ongoing projects in housing, roads, transport, and services.

The Premier stated that the development efforts include expanding road networks, restoring railway lines toward Taba, establishing industrial areas, and initiating agricultural projects, along with new urban communities. Madbouly asserted the government's commitment to addressing citizens' needs, with orders to review requests submitted by MPs and act swiftly within available resources.

He concluded by stating that North Sinai has moved past a challenging period and is now experiencing steady development, with efforts focused on improving living conditions and supporting stability.
