FM Stresses Need for Regional De-escalation Efforts

Antalya: Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty stressed the importance of regional and international efforts to de-escalate tensions in the region, urging the prioritization of dialogue and diplomatic solutions to address various regional crises. This came during a meeting held on Sunday, April 19, 2026, with Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and Luxembourg Foreign Minister Xavier Bettel on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Turkey.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the top diplomat expressed Egypt's commitment to further developing relations with both countries and enhancing cooperation across areas of shared interest. The ministers also exchanged views on regional developments with Abdelatty outlining Egypt's efforts to support regional security and stability.
