Cairo: Egypt reaffirmed its full support for the security and stability of Lebanon, noting that the situation in the country remains critical in light of recent regional developments following US President Donald Trump's announcement of a two-week suspension of military operations.

According to State Information Service Egypt, in a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates, it was emphasized that the suspension of military operations must be accompanied by an immediate halt to Israel's repeated attacks on Lebanon. This action is necessary to safeguard Lebanon's sovereignty and territorial integrity, in accordance with United Nations Security Council Resolution (UNSC) 1701, and to create the necessary conditions for the safe and dignified return of displaced persons.

The statement further highlighted Egypt's full support and solidarity with Lebanon, both the government and the people, during this sensitive period. It stressed Egypt's commitment to enhancing Lebanon's capacity to overcome current challenges and reinforce security and stability.
