Cairo: The Arab Republic of Egypt has expressed its keen interest in the recent international initiatives aimed at finding a peaceful resolution to the ongoing crisis in Ukraine. In this regard, Egypt has acknowledged and appreciated the efforts undertaken by US President Donald Trump to bring an end to the Ukrainian crisis, halt military operations, and address the adverse consequences stemming from the conflict.According to State Information Service Egypt, Egypt has welcomed the US-Russian summit held in Alaska on August 15, as well as the subsequent meeting in Washington on August 18, which included the US President, his Ukrainian counterpart, and several European leaders. These diplomatic engagements are viewed by Egypt as crucial steps towards resolving the prolonged crisis.Egypt has reiterated its stance that aligns with these diplomatic efforts, emphasizing the need for political and diplomatic solutions to international conflicts, rather than military interventions. The Egyptian state is committed to collaborating with both regional and international partners, notably the United States, to constructively contribute to initiatives that aim to establish global peace and security, thereby enhancing regional and international stability.
