Peru Opens Market to Egyptian Strawberry Seedlings

Lima: Egypt's Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, Alaa Farouk, announced that the country has successfully gained market access to Peru for its exported strawberry seedlings. This significant development marks a new chapter in Egypt's agricultural export efforts.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the achievement comes after a report from Mohamed el Mansi, Head of the Central Administration of Agricultural Quarantine. Mansi detailed that successful negotiations between the Egyptian Agricultural Quarantine and its Peruvian counterpart have paved the way for the Peruvian market to receive Egyptian strawberry seedling exports.

Mansi highlighted that this accomplishment is part of ongoing efforts by the Egyptian Agricultural Quarantine to open new markets globally for Egypt's agricultural exports. These efforts focus on various export commodities, aiming to enhance Egypt's presence in international markets.

Minister Farouk expressed gratitude to the Egyptian Agricultural Quarantine staff, the Ministry of Agriculture departments, and all those involved in promoting Egyptian agricultural exports. He emphasized the importance of maintaining the quality and reputation of Egyptian agricultural products while opening new international markets.

Farouk also stressed that this development strengthens Egypt's position on the global map for exporting propagation materials like seedlings and seeds. The goal is to establish Egypt as a leading hub for exporting such products to numerous countries worldwide.
