Cairo: Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly revealed that the government is working with the Ministry of Industry and the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) to create a fund designed to assist struggling factories in resuming operations.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the Prime Minister stated that the plan includes a comprehensive review of distressed factories to identify the most suitable support mechanisms. The focus will be on facilities impacted by recent economic challenges that have the potential to restart production.
Madbouly highlighted that certain factories are dealing with more profound structural or management problems. Each situation is being evaluated individually to ensure that support is allocated to operations with the potential to contribute positively to the economy.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the initiative aims to boost local production, generate employment, and foster industrial growth. Restoring factory operations is seen as a crucial measure in reinforcing the manufacturing sector.
He also mentioned that banks make financing decisions based on feasibility studies and anticipated returns, aligning with their role in supporting productive projects.
