FM Launches Blood Donation Drive for Hospital 57357

Cairo: Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty, on Thursday, April 23, 2026, launched a blood donation campaign at the ministry's headquarters in support of Children's Cancer Hospital 57357, in the presence of the hospital's CEO Sherif Abu el Naga. The initiative falls within the framework of Foreign Ministry's ongoing efforts to support the hospital in treating children with cancer.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Abdelatty praised the wide range of medical services provided by the institution and the high standard of healthcare delivered to young patients. The Foreign Minister commended the significant efforts of the hospital's management, medical teams, and volunteers in delivering advanced treatment free of charge, in line with the highest international standards.

He emphasized that Hospital 57357 represents a humanitarian landmark and a unique model of civil society work, describing it as one of the largest hospitals worldwide specializing in free treatment for children with cancer. He added that the achievements of the hospital represent a source of national pride.

Abdelatty noted that the hospital's experience reflects the strength and cohesion of Egyptian society, as well as the ability of civil society initiatives to create meaningful developmental impact. He stressed that the right to health is a shared responsibility between the state and society.
