Cairo: The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources for Production has conducted a series of strategic meetings with representatives from international companies operating in Egypt, focusing on enhancing cooperation in oil and gas activities. These discussions took place during the Egypt International Energy Conference and Exhibition (EGYPS 2026).
According to State Information Service Egypt, Managing Director of Baker Hughes for North Africa, Ragai, convened with the company’s Country Manager for Egypt, Ms. Amal Belkhirat, and Eng. Amr Ismail. The meetings centered around the latest technologies employed by Baker Hughes, particularly in horizontal and vertical well drilling and production, as well as hydraulic fracturing techniques.
The discussions were guided by directives from the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Eng. Karim Badawi, which emphasized the expansion of advanced technological solutions, including digital applications, to bolster production increase plans. Ragai highlighted the significance of reinforcing the partnership with Baker Hughes and utilizing its international expertise in the deployment of cutting-edge drilling and production technologies. He stated that collaboration with leading global companies is a fundamental aspect of the Ministry’s strategy to achieve sustainability and boost production rates.
