Cairo: Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, engaged in discussions with a high-level delegation from BP, led by Executive Vice President for Gas and Low Carbon Energy William Lin. The discussions focused on the progress of ongoing projects and BP's future plans for expansion in the areas of exploration, research, and natural gas production.According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting took place on the sidelines of the first day of the Egypt International Energy Conference and Exhibition 'EGYPES 2026.' Senior officials from both the ministry and BP were present. Minister Badawi affirmed the ministry's commitment to creating an attractive investment environment and lauded the constructive cooperation with BP. He emphasized the Egyptian government's commitment to settling partners' dues by the end of June, a move aimed at boosting investor confidence and encouraging international companies to expand their operations in Egypt.William Lin, representi ng BP, expressed the company's pride in its partnership with Egypt, highlighting its resilience in the face of global challenges.
