Cairo: Speaker of the House of Representatives Hanafy el-Gebaly said Thursday 31/7/2025 that the Egyptian State adopts a prudent vision to enhance regional and global security and stability. The House speaker said that Egypt has emphasized that there is no way to ensure regional and global stability without a just, lasting and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian cause, leading to granting the Palestinian people their legitimate historical rights to establish their independent and sovereign state, in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions.According to State Information Service Egypt, Gebaly made the remarks during his participation in the Sixth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament, held in Geneva, as he delivered a speech during the general debate under the theme of "A World in Turmoil: Parliamentary Cooperation and Multilateralism for Peace, Justice, and Prosperity for All."At the outset of his speech, Gebaly said the world is experiencing watershed moments casting its shadow on global human stability amid challenges of a turbulent era. In light of these critical circumstances, retreating into isolation is no longer a viable option. Instead, collective global action - both parliamentary and governmental - has become an urgent necessity, he highlighted. The dire situation in the Middle East, particularly in the occupied Palestinian territories, paints a grim picture of the deterioration of the state of global justice and its tools, added the House speaker.Meanwhile, Gebaly commended international efforts to restore and support global peace and security, most recently the peace agreement signed between the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda. He said Egypt hopes this approach will prevail in all conflict zones around the world, especially in the African continent.
