Cairo: Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptians Expatriates Dr. Badr Abdelatty received a phone call from the Prime Minister of Lebanon, Mr. Nawaf Salam, to discuss the developments on the Lebanese scene and recent regional events amidst the ongoing military escalation.According to State Information Service Egypt, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Tamim Khallaf, stated that the call is part of efforts to closely monitor the situation in Lebanon, particularly focusing on the severe impacts of the escalating refugee crisis caused by Israeli attacks.During the conversation, Minister Abdelatty emphasized Egypt's unwavering solidarity with Lebanon in this challenging time, highlighting the rejection of any actions compromising Lebanon's sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity, as well as the welfare of its people.The spokesperson further mentioned that the call involved a comprehensive evaluation of the situation, reviewing developmen ts in Lebanon amidst the refugee crisis and identifying the urgent needs of the Lebanese populace. The discussions also explored ways to address these needs promptly, in line with directives from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.Minister Abdelatty reaffirmed Egypt's commitment to supporting Lebanese state institutions, extending their authority nationwide, and backing the Lebanese army's efforts, including militia disarmament.
