Washington: Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty participated on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, in a panel discussion at the Atlantic Council under the title 'Egypt in a Turbulent Middle East.'
According to State Information Service Egypt, during the session, Abdelatty reviewed Egypt's sustained efforts to support security and stability in the region, as well as its positions on various regional crises. He highlighted Egypt's active and constructive role in de-escalation and achieving calm in the Middle East amid exceptional regional circumstances.
The discussion featured an interactive dialogue between the foreign minister and participants on key regional challenges, particularly the Palestinian issue, as well as developments in Sudan, Lebanon, and the Horn of Africa, outlining the constants of Egypt's stance on these crises.
Abdelatty also commended ongoing efforts to strengthen the strategic partnership between Egypt and the United States, noting the shared interest in enhancing economic, trade, and investment cooperation. He emphasized the aim of attracting more US investments to the Egyptian market and expanding collaboration across various fields.
