Administrative Capital Hosts Global Fencing Event with 26 Countries


Cairo: Sports enthusiasts worldwide are turning their attention on Sunday morning to the shooting ranges at the Egypt International Olympic City in the Administrative Capital, where the World Shooting Championship for Juniors (pistol, rifle, and shotgun) will commence.



According to State Information Service Egypt, this major international event will run from 19 to 27 April, featuring a selection of young talents in the world of shooting. The current edition of the championship reaffirms Egypt’s leadership and exceptional capability to host major sporting events, with 26 countries from across the continents officially participating, represented by more than 255 shooters.



Participating nations include Argentina, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belarus, Cyprus, Spain, Finland, France, Britain, Georgia, Germany, Hungary, India, Ireland, Italy, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Russia, Romania, South Africa, Sweden, Taiwan, Ukraine, Jordan, Uzbekistan, as well as Egypt as the host country.
