Sana’a: The head of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council, President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, has issued a call for a comprehensive Arab and Islamic strategy to address Israeli expansionist policies. He emphasized the need for collective action to counter what he described as the illusion of regional hegemony by Israel.
According to Union of OIC News Agencies, in his address at the emergency Arab-Islamic summit, Al-Alimi outlined a three-pronged approach to tackling the issue. The first axis focuses on achieving a just and comprehensive resolution to the Palestinian issue, guided by international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
Al-Alimi highlighted the second axis as the necessity to bolster national institutions across political, economic, and security sectors, while also collaborating to combat armed terrorist groups. The third axis involves a strategy to deter states with expansionist agendas, with Israel identified as a primary concern, and to enhance joint Arab and Islamic integration.
The Yemeni president also expressed his full support for Qatar’s mediation efforts, alongside Egypt and the United States, aimed at halting the conflict in the Gaza Strip.
