Tatarstan President Visits Egypt to Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation

Cairo: Rustam Minnikhanov, the president of the Republic of Tatarstan, arrived in Egypt for a working visit aimed at bolstering cooperation between Cairo and Kazan. Upon his arrival at Cairo International Airport, Minnikhanov was welcomed by Egypt's Minister of Industry, Khaled Hashem, and the acting Russian ambassador to Egypt, Yuri Matveev.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Minnikhanov expressed gratitude for the reception by Egyptian officials and expressed hope that the visit would lead to enhanced cooperation in various sectors. The agenda for the visit includes field tours and a series of meetings to explore opportunities for economic and industrial collaboration.

During his visit, Minnikhanov toured a branch of the Kazan Federal University in Cairo, located within a medical complex covering 10,000 square meters. He was briefed on the academic facilities and the university's educational system. The branch currently offers programs in general medicine, dentistry, and pharmacy, with 2,023 students enrolled. Plans are underway to open two additional faculties in artificial intelligence and physical therapy in the near future.
