Istanbul: Speaker of the House of Representatives Hisham Badawi emphasized on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, the imperative to strengthen cooperation with Trkiye, especially in economic and investment sectors, considering the significant potential of both nations.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Badawi commended the bilateral collaboration in energy and tourism, urging for increased Turkish investments in Egypt's promising market. His comments were made during his participation in the 152nd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Istanbul, where he engaged with Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Numan Kurtulmus.
Badawi noted that the meeting reflects the notable progress in Egyptian-Turkish relations in recent years and the dedication of leadership from both countries to enhance cooperation and coordination, benefiting both nations and their citizens.
