Cairo: Ambassador Alaa Youssef, Chairman of State Information Service (SIS), said on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, that Sinai Liberation remained a symbol of Egypt’s ability to restore its rights and pursue peace.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Youssef, during an event marking the anniversary of the Sinai liberation, emphasized that the occasion reflected national pride and the sacrifices made to regain the land, combining military strength with political efforts. He highlighted that the celebration came amid delicate regional circumstances.
Youssef added that Egypt, under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, continued to play a role in supporting regional stability through a balance between prudence and decisiveness. This approach aims to safeguard regional stability and support fellow Arab nations.
He also mentioned development projects in Sinai, including infrastructure, housing, and public services, as part of broader efforts to support growth and stability. Officials attending the event noted that the anniversary carried strong national significance and reflected the role of the armed forces in protecting the country.
