Cairo: Minister of Labor Hassan Raddad El-Mashad announced the upcoming launch of a comprehensive national digital platform designed to connect job seekers with employers both within Egypt and abroad. This initiative follows directives from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to modernize the employment system and regulate the labor market in response to local and international shifts.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the Minister explained that the new platform will operate on a model similar to LinkedIn, utilizing a verified database to integrate employment, training, and inspection services. He indicated that the platform will include all categories of Egyptian workers, serving as the official gateway for the objectives of the National Employment Strategy.
The Minister emphasized that the National Employment Strategy is being implemented in partnership with both national and international entities. Its primary goal is to balance workforce supply and demand while enhancing the efficiency and competitiveness of Egyptian workers in various markets.
He added that the platform will provide technological tools to match job seekers' skills with the evolving needs of the market, covering both domestic opportunities and international placements. Furthermore, El-Mashad pointed out that the labor market's recent development requires modern management tools. The electronic platform will address this by offering a robust database that supports the recruitment process and provides genuine opportunities for young people. It will also integrate vocational training services with available jobs to ensure applicants are qualified to meet specific employer requirements.
