New alamein city: Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Engineer Karim Badawy, engaged in an extensive discussion with Mr. Mathios Regas, President of the Greek company "Energean," at the ministry's headquarters. According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting included key figures such as Mr. Nicholas Kacharov, Energean's director in Egypt, and Mr. Walid Abdullah, the director of government and security relations. Discussions centered on the alignment between Egypt and Greece in adopting environmental sustainability solutions and reducing carbon emissions.
Minister Karim Badawy highlighted the growing strategic cooperation between Egypt and Greece, particularly in the energy sector. He noted Egypt's success in overcoming challenges in the energy domain by boosting research and exploration activities and providing incentives for global companies to invest more. Badawy emphasized the importance placed by the state on diversifying energy sources, enhancing gas infrastructure, and securing local market needs.
