Mahara-Tech Platform Honored for Excellence in ICT Education

Cairo: Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Chairman of the Egyptian National Commission for UNESCO Dr. Ayman Ashour, expressed his sincere congratulations to the Mahara-Tech platform team and the Information Technology Institute (ITI) for winning the UNESCO King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa Prize for ICT in Education for 2025. The theme for this year's award was "Preparing Learners and Teachers for the Ethical and Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence."

According to State Information Service Egypt, Dr. Ayman Ashour emphasized that this achievement reflects Egypt's advanced position in the use of technology and artificial intelligence in education, as well as the country's efforts to build the digital capabilities of learners and teachers, in line with the digital transformation strategy and Egypt Vision 2030.

This win comes after the nomination and approval of the Egyptian National Commission for UNESCO, following a meticulous selection process during which the committee selected the best national projects submitted for the award at the national level.
