Cairo: The Foreign Ministry mourned on Sunday former Assistant Foreign Minister Hazem Fahmi who died earlier in the day. Fahmi was an honorable example of a devoted diplomat who dedicated all his life to serving the homeland and defending its interests both at home and abroad.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Fahmi’s diplomatic career was marked by notable accomplishments across all positions he held. He had a significant impact in various fields, including development, economic diplomacy, and multilateral affairs. His contributions were also evident in academic and research institutions both domestically and internationally over the years.
