Dubai: Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty directed the Egyptian Consulate General in Dubai to maintain continuous contact with the relevant UAE authorities to determine circumstances surrounding the death of Egyptian national Diaa El-Din Shalaby Mohamed El-Awady.According to State Information Service Egypt, the consulate was also tasked with closely following all related procedures and expediting the necessary steps to repatriate the body to Egypt. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is closely monitoring the case following notification received by the Egyptian Consulate General in Dubai from Dubai Police, reporting the citizen's death at a hotel.The ministry is also coordinating with the deceased's family and their legal representative. Assistant Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs Haddad el Gohary is scheduled to receive the late citizen's wife and family members at the ministry's headquarters to complete the required consular procedures, extend condolences, and reaffirm that the ministry will continue to follow the case through to the completion of all relevant measures.
