Rafah: The 180th aid convoy of 'Zad Al-Ezza. From Egypt to Gaza' started entering the Gaza Strip via Rafah crossing, heading toward the Karam Abu Salem Crossing, in preparation for delivery into the enclave.
According to State Information Service Egypt, an official source stated that the trucks, which are part of the convoy, carry large quantities of food and relief supplies. These include food parcels, flour, fresh bread, legumes, canned goods, medicines, personal care items, tents, clothing, winter supplies as well as fuel. The source noted that all shipments undergo inspection by Israeli authorities before being allowed into Gaza.
Israeli forces had previously closed crossings into the Gaza Strip on March 2, 2025, following the end of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement and the failure to reach a deal to extend it. The truce was subsequently breached on March 18, 2025, with intense airstrikes, followed by renewed ground incursions into several areas of Gaza.
Since then, Israeli authorities have restricted the entry of humanitarian aid, fuel, and shelter supplies for displaced Palestinians, while also blocking heavy equipment needed for debris removal and reconstruction. Aid deliveries resumed in May 2025 under a mechanism implemented by Israeli authorities in coordination with a US security company, despite objections from UNRWA, which argued that the mechanism violated established international procedures.
