Egypt and WIPO Discuss Cooperation on Intellectual Property


Geneva: Head of the Egyptian Intellectual Property Authority (EIPA) Hisham Azmi met with Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Daren Tang to discuss cooperation in the field of intellectual property.



According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting focused on reviewing the progress of Egypt’s national intellectual property strategy and joint projects with WIPO aimed at supporting innovation. The discussions also included potential enhancements in areas such as digital transformation, capacity building, and the integration of artificial intelligence into intellectual property services.



Daren Tang stated that WIPO will continue to provide technical and logistical support to Egypt. He also noted the progress Egypt has made in developing its intellectual property system.
