Benghazi: The Assistant Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs, Ambassador Haddad Al-Gohary, recently met with members of the Egyptian community and representatives of several Egyptian companies in Benghazi, Libya. During his visit, Ambassador Al-Gohary also inspected the Misr Al-Arabia Joint School building.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Ambassador Al-Gohary engaged in an extensive interactive dialogue with the Egyptian community in Benghazi, as part of his ongoing efforts to connect with Egyptians in Libya. He reiterated that addressing the concerns of Egyptians living abroad, including those in Libya, remains a top priority for the Egyptian state, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and Egyptians Abroad.
Ambassador Al-Gohary discussed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ efforts, along with consulates and embassies, to address community members’ demands. He also highlighted the cooperation with Libyan authorities to resolve these issues. The Ambassador emphasized the continued development of consular services and encouraged Egyptians abroad to participate in state-launched initiatives.
In addition to meeting with the community, Al-Gohary met with representatives and managers of Egyptian companies operating in Libya. He listened to presentations on their achievements and commended their efficient project completions in collaboration with Libyan counterparts. Al-Gohary stressed the importance of their role in Libya’s development and reconstruction, recognizing it as a reinforcement of the strong historical ties between the two nations.
The visit also included a tour of the Egyptian-Arab Joint School, which serves over 900 Egyptian students by implementing the Egyptian curriculum. Ambassador Al-Gohary observed the educational processes and inspected the school’s facilities, highlighting the importance of education for the Egyptian community in Libya.
