Arab and Muslim Leaders Convene in Qatar Over Israeli Attack

Doha: Arab and Muslim leaders are set to gather in Qatar to denounce the recent Israeli attack on Hamas officials in Doha and express solidarity with the Gulf state. Qatar announced on Saturday that it will host this crucial summit, which aims to address the situation and coordinate a collective response.

According to TRTworld.com, the meeting scheduled for Monday will focus on drafting a resolution concerning the Israeli attack on Qatar. This draft will be prepared on Sunday during a ministerial meeting, as stated by foreign ministry spokesman Majed al Ansari.

The summit is seen as a demonstration of widespread Arab and Islamic support for Qatar in response to what is being described as an act of aggression by Israel. The incident involved an Israeli strike on a building in Doha last Tuesday, resulting in the deaths of five Hamas members and a Qatari security officer. This attack has sparked significant international condemnation, including from Gulf states that are typically allied with the United States, Israel's principal supporter.

Qatar, known for its mediation role in the Gaza conflict alongside the United States and Egypt, is using the summit as a platform to deliver a clear message to Israel. Analysts suggest that the gathering of leaders underscores a unified stance against what they perceive as Israeli "state terrorism."
