50th Aid Convoy from ‘Zad Al-Ezzah’ Heads Toward Gaza Crossings

Rafah: Humanitarian aid trucks began moving Wednesday, October 15, 2025, toward the secondary gate of Rafah Border Crossing heading to the Karam Abu Salem crossing southeast of the Gaza Strip and also toward the Al-Auja crossing in preparation for delivering aid to Palestinians in the Strip.

According to State Information Service Egypt, a senior official at Rafah Border Crossing in North Sinai stated on Wednesday that the trucks carry various relief materials, including fuel, cooking gas, food supplies, and medical aid. The trucks are inspected by Israeli occupation authorities before being allowed to enter Gaza, the official added.

Hundreds of trucks have lined up in front of the Rafah crossing awaiting clearance to cross after the completion of routine procedures. Volunteers from the Egyptian Red Crescent in North Sinai have prepared and organized the trucks as part of the 50th 'Zad Al-Ezzah - From Egypt to Gaza' aid convoy.

Israeli occupation forces closed all crossings linking Gaza on March 2, following the end of the first phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, after no deal was reached to maintain the truce. Israeli occupation troops violated the ceasefire on March 18 with intense airstrikes and later resumed ground incursions into several areas of Gaza from which they had previously withdrawn. Israel has also blocked the entry of humanitarian aid trucks, fuel, and shelter materials, as well as refused to allow heavy equipment needed for debris removal and reconstruction.
