Cairo: As part of the ongoing preparations for the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade to host the fourth ministerial meeting of trade ministers of the D-8 Organization member states during the first week of December 2025, the Egyptian Commercial Service (ECS) will handle the organizational, logistical, and technical aspects of the meeting.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the working group tasked with following up on the ongoing arrangements for this meeting, chaired by Minister Plenipotentiary for Trade Tamer Mostafa, held a video conference meeting with Mr. Punjul Nugraha, Director of International Economic Relations at the D-8 Organization Secretariat. The discussion focused on reviewing the latest developments regarding the participation of delegations from member states.
At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to hold a series of other meetings in the coming period to ensure the success of the event and achieve the desired results. The D-8 Organization aims to enhance economic cooperation among member states and strengthen their position in the international trading system. The organization focuses on maximizing opportunities for expanding economic activities, improving living standards, and enhancing participation in decision-making on international economic issues. It is worth noting that Egypt's exports to the D-8 Organization countries reached approximately US$3.6 billion in 2024.
