State Minister for Military Production Highlights Strategic Goals in Heliopolis Company Visit

Cairo: Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Salah El-Din Mustafa affirmed his keenness to continuously follow up on the latest developments of projects carried out by the ministry's affiliated entities and to promptly remove any obstacles that may arise during implementation.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the minister emphasized that the ministry is working to attract more investments and establish productive industrial partnerships with various state institutions, in line with the directives of the political leadership. This statement was made during an unannounced inspection tour of the Heliopolis Company for Chemical Industries (Factory 81), a leading industrial entity affiliated with the Ministry of Military Production.

The visit was part of the minister's commitment to conduct field follow-ups of all companies and units under the ministry to ensure the smooth progress of production operations and verify compliance with ministerial directives previously issued to improve performance. During his tour of the production lines, Chairman Mohamed Abdel Moneim El-Basiony presented recent developments aimed at boosting productivity and enhancing operational efficiency.

The inspection included a review of the rubber and plastic sector, established in 1964 to meet the requirements of the Armed Forces. This sector's products are crucial in complementary ammunition industries, cartridge bases, protective masks, and other military needs. Additionally, the company produces civilian products like FIFA-approved stadium seats.

Minister Mustafa also assessed the company's relocation project and progress achieved so far. He checked workers' compliance with safety measures, emphasizing the ministry's commitment to occupational safety standards that ensure a secure working environment.

He listened to workers' views and urged them to exert greater effort, instructing officials to address any production challenges. The minister highlighted the importance of a conducive work environment that supports the national economy and advances local industry per presidential directives.

The tour underscored the need for governance, adherence to maintenance schedules, and regular reviews of production plans and stock levels. The minister also stressed the importance of industrial and cyber safety and proper waste disposal.

The Heliopolis Company for Chemical Industries, the first Egyptian company specializing in paints and chemicals in the Middle East, produces specialized coatings for marine vessels and weather-resistant paints for coastal buildings. It serves both military and civilian sectors and contributes to national projects in housing, urban development, and infrastructure.

The company's primary mission is to meet the Armed Forces' needs through munitions and explosive device production, with surplus capacity used for civilian products like paints and chemical components. The minister was accompanied by Salah Gomblat, Deputy Chairman and Managing Director of the National Authority for Military Production.
