Luxor: The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities announced that Luxor's Valley of the Kings remained undamaged after a fire erupted at a cafeteria on the western bank of the historic site.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Abdel Ghaffar Wagdy, Director General of Luxor Antiquities, confirmed that all tombs and structures are intact and in good condition. He explained that the fire was sparked by an electrical short circuit and was swiftly contained by Civil Defence forces.
Wagdy reported no injuries or losses from the incident. He also noted that precautionary measures were implemented by officials and security staff to safeguard the area. Debris clearance is currently ongoing in collaboration with the Luxor Governorate.
