Washington: US President Donald Trump praised President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for his 'great effort and outstanding work' to end the Gaza war. During a joint meeting, Trump described Egypt as a pivotal country, praising Sisi as a strong leader and a dear friend.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Trump commended El-Sisi's 'great work and remarkable efforts' to advance peace in the region. During joint talks, Trump affirmed that the United States fully supports Sisi's efforts to promote peace in the Middle East. Responding to a question about Egypt's role in the peace process, President Trump said Egypt has played, and continues to play, a very important role in the peace process.

President El-Sisi has shown great dedication and perseverance in working for peace. Trump noted, "We respect Egypt's leadership, and Sisi has been a strong and effective leader whom we deeply appreciate."

When asked about the prospects of reaching an agreement with Iran, President Trump replied, "No, not yet. But I believe Iran will come to that conclusion at some point. They need assistance, and the sanctions imposed on them are enormous. They cannot continue under such severe sanctions. At some point, they will say they want these sanctions lifted. I believe things will eventually turn out well, and Iran will want to reach an agreement."
