Cairo: Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli emphasized the importance of continuing to provide red meat in different markets across the country in quantities that meet the diverse needs and demands of citizens. He highlighted the ongoing measures being taken to monitor the availability of red meat in the markets. He stressed the need to diversify international markets from which red meat is imported and to work towards increasing supply, which would contribute to stabilizing prices. The prime minister's remarks came during a meeting he chaired Monday to follow up on the measures taken to secure red meat supplies.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Madbouli pointed out to the government's interest in facilitating the transport of imported live animals, and in expanding the establishment of quarantine facilities and slaughterhouses, particularly in border areas, in addition to providing adequate veterinary care for maintaining animal health.
