Tourism Minister Attends Global Tourism Forum in Brussels

Brussels: Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Sherif Fathi attended on Tuesday, 21, 2025, the opening of the Global Tourism Forum (GTF) held in Brussels, Belgium, under the theme Redefining Tourism in a Changing World. The event is organized by the Global Tourism Forum Institute from October 20 to 21.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the GTF is considered one of the most prominent high-level international events in the tourism and travel sector. It serves as a global platform for cooperation and exchange of expertise, bringing together leaders, innovators, experts, and decision-makers to discuss the challenges and future of the tourism industry.

This year, the GTF focuses on several key issues and themes, including the role of technology in tourism development, technological innovations such as Artificial Intelligence, in addition to topics of sustainable tourism and environmental policies, investment trends and future prospects in the tourism sector, cooperation between the public and private sectors, promising opportunities in emerging markets, as well as enhancing the competitiveness of tourist destinations, sustainable aviation, and digital transformation in airports and services related to the travel experience.

The GTF aims to develop practical strategies for achieving sustainable development in emerging travel markets and ensuring the growth of the tourism sector globally.
