Tel aviv: Diaa Rashwan, General Coordinator of the National Dialogue of Egypt, announced that the Board of Trustees of the National Dialogue conducted a virtual session on the evening of Thursday, 31st of July 2025, to discuss the demonstration in front of the Egyptian Embassy in Tel Aviv.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the Board expressed its strong condemnation of the protest orchestrated by the 'Islamic Movement in Israel', which criticized Egypt's role in lifting the Gaza blockade.
The session concluded with a statement expressing deep concern over the demonstration where protesters waved the flags of the occupation country. The Board highlighted that the protest was conducted under the pretext of Egypt's alleged ineffectiveness regarding the Gaza blockade. The Board criticized the demonstrators for not protesting against the official entities of the occupation country responsible for significant violence in Gaza.
The Board of Trustees emphasized that the demonstration revealed a collaboration with the occupation country and its military, accusing the protestors of prioritizing actions against the Egyptian regime over resisting occupation forces. The statement criticized the Muslim Brotherhood, linking them to the protest and accusing them of acting against the Egyptian state rather than supporting the Palestinian cause.
The statement further condemned the occupation authorities for permitting the demonstration, interpreting it as an attempt to undermine Egypt's support for Palestine and destabilize the Egyptian government. It described the protest as a betrayal of Palestinian interests, serving only the narrow goals of the organizing movement.
Finally, the Board of Trustees reaffirmed its confidence in the Palestinian people living inside the Green Line, expressing belief in their commitment to unity against occupation practices. The trustees expect these communities to reject actions that align with the interests of terror organizations and their affiliates.
