According to State Information Service Egypt, during a joint press conference with Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli at the government headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, Idris expressed deep gratitude on behalf of the Sudanese people. He thanked Egypt's President, government, and citizens for their support and hospitality amid Sudan's ongoing challenges due to the conflict within its borders.
Idris conveyed this gratitude during meetings with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Prime Minister Madbouli, reflecting the appreciation felt by all Sudanese for Egypt's historical support. He assured that Sudan would reciprocate with the same cooperation and solidarity shown by Egypt.
The Prime Minister described a historic meeting where both nations exchanged views on critical national and regional issues. He expressed confidence in the consensus reached on these matters, stating that they would be addressed through joint political and technical committees established between the two countries.
