FM, Investment Minister Stress Synergy to Boost Egypt’s Global Standing

Cairo: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty and Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan El Khatib underlined the need to align foreign policy with the economic agenda to enhance the country's regional and global positioning.

According to State Information Service Egypt, during their meeting Thursday, the two ministers emphasized the importance of continuously upgrading the working mechanisms of diplomatic missions to support the state's development vision and foster closer coordination with the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade.

They praised the existing cooperation between the two ministries, particularly in supporting the national economy, highlighting the critical role played by embassies and commercial representation offices abroad in attracting foreign direct investment and opening up new export markets for Egyptian companies.

The ministers also stressed the need to support exports and investments abroad and to continue empowering the private sector as a key partner in driving economic development.

They pointed to the growing opportunities for Egyptian products across African markets, citing the continent's promising potential and strategic importance.

The meeting further reviewed means of enhancing economic, trade, and investment ties with the United States and the European Union, two of Egypt's key trade and investment partners.

The ministers affirmed the importance of upgrading cooperation frameworks to attract more investments and expand trade exchanges in line with Egypt's developmental and economic goals.
