PM Urges Swift Launch of Fustat Hills Heritage Park Project

Cairo: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly on Sunday emphasized the importance of the 'Fustat Hills' park project in Cairo, calling for the swift completion and opening of the heritage and eco-tourism destination. Speaking at a meeting in New Alamein City in Egypt's North Coast, Madbouly said the park, which overlooks key historical sites, is expected to become a major cultural and tourist attraction due to its wide green spaces and heritage zones.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting reviewed final execution phases and operational plans for the park. Housing minister Sherif el-Sherbiny said most components - including cultural, investment, market, adventure, and heritage areas - are nearly complete, with preliminary handovers underway.

Officials said private firms have shown interest in managing the park, and a review committee is assessing bids to select a qualified operator in coordination with the housing ministry.
