PM Reviews Government Complaints System’s Responsive Measures

Cairo: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly reviewed a report submitted by Dr. Tarek El-Rifai, the Director of the Unified Government Complaints System at the Cabinet, regarding the response models of the system, in collaboration with ministries, governorates, and relevant authorities, for a number of cases across various sectors.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the Prime Minister emphasized the necessity of addressing complaints and appeals from citizens, particularly in urgent sectors such as health and safety, by ensuring prompt and effective responses in coordination with relevant authorities. The Director of the Government Complaints System highlighted the system's focus on rapid responses, illustrating several instances where humanitarian needs were met in areas such as public safety, health care, and public facility maintenance.

El-Rifai confirmed that complaints about protecting lives and property have been addressed, such as a diesel leak at a fuel station on the Suez-Burial Road, tackled in coordination with the Ministry of Petroleum and Civil Protection. Additionally, the Ministry of Transport and National Roads Company responded to safety concerns on the "30 June" axis by maintaining the area and installing safety barriers.

In the health sector, Dr. Tarek El-Rifai detailed assistance provided to a citizen suffering from severe obesity, who received medical treatment and surgeries at Al-Azhar University College of Medicine Hospital. Similarly, a young man with scoliosis was successfully operated on at Dar El-Shefaa Hospital at the state's expense.

Regarding priority care cases, the system addressed a homeless girl with a contagious skin disease in Dakahlia, ensuring she received medical care and placement in a suitable facility. Public facility maintenance was also highlighted with repairs to a broken water pipe in Zamalek, Cairo, and a sewage line in Luxor Governorate, among other initiatives for infrastructure improvement.

El-Rifai mentioned efforts to clear water drains and canals to protect agricultural land and addressed encroachments on state-owned land, taking legal action against violators. Market regulation initiatives included distributing gas cylinders to residents in different governorates and addressing illegal activities in the food sector.

The report concluded with a review of measures ensuring the provision of goods and market regulation, underscoring the government's commitment to addressing citizens' complaints and improving coordination among relevant authorities.
