New york: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Bad Abdelatty emphasized the state's commitment to strengthening channels of communication with Egyptian communities abroad. He announced preparations for the sixth edition of the Egyptians Abroad Conference, scheduled for August 3-4, which will serve as a national platform for direct dialogue and the exchange of ideas and proposals with Egyptians living abroad. This statement was made during the minister's meeting with members of the Egyptian community in New York as part of his visit to the United States. According to State Information Service Egypt, the Foreign Minister stressed the importance of Egyptian expatriates' participation in upcoming national milestones, reflecting their citizenship values and constitutional rights. Abdelatty reaffirmed his engagement with Egyptian communities during foreign visits, commending the Egyptian community in the United States for its role in strengthening Egypt-US relations. He outlined the si gnificant challenges facing the region, emphasizing Egypt's continuous efforts to safeguard national security and maintain stability amid a complex regional and international landscape. Abdelatty praised the awareness of the Egyptian people and the cohesion of the domestic front in the face of surrounding turmoil. The minister also commended the resilience of the Egyptian economy against global crises, particularly the repercussions of the war in the Gaza Strip. He affirmed that protecting the interests of Egyptians abroad is a top priority, highlighting efforts by the Ministry to enhance and simplify consular services. Abdelatty reviewed progress in digital transformation within consular services and ongoing initiatives with various state institutions to provide efficient and accessible services for Egyptian expatriates. He mentioned recent initiatives launched to serve Egyptians abroad, such as facilitating secure financial transfers, simplifying bank account processes, offering housing units and agricult ural land, and education-related initiatives at Egyptian universities. At the meeting's end, an open dialogue was held with the Egyptian community, where their opinions and suggestions on supporting consular services abroad were heard.
