PM Meets with Qatari Minister to Discuss Humanitarian Aid for Gaza

Cairo: Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, the Prime Minister, met today at the government headquarters in the New Administrative Capital with Her Excellency Dr. Mariam bint Ali bin Nasser Al-Misnad, Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to discuss several files of cooperation between the two countries, foremost among them delivering humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting was attended by Dr. Maya Morsi, Minister of Social Solidarity, Ms. Mariam bint Ahmed Al-Sheibi, Charg© d'Affaires at the Qatari Embassy in Egypt, and Mr. Jasem Muftah Al-Muftah, tasked with the duties of Director of the Office of the Minister of State for International Cooperation in Qatar.

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly confirmed that Egyptian-Qatari relations are at their best now, noting that the two countries have witnessed close cooperation in mediating to halt the war in Gaza and end the suffering of Palestinians in the region.

The Prime Minister added that cooperation between Cairo and Doha continues in the post-ceasefire phase across various levels, particularly regarding delivering humanitarian aid to the inhabitants of the Gaza Strip, a matter that is of primary concern at this stage.

The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Qatari government for its efforts, in cooperation with Egypt, regarding the introduction of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

During the meeting, Dr. Maya Morsi reviewed the ongoing cooperation efforts between Egypt and Qatar through several developmental and charitable institutions to deliver humanitarian aid to the residents of the Gaza Strip, which includes more than 80,000 tents that will enter Gaza, indicating that 30,000 tents have already arrived in Al-Arish in preparation for their entry into Gaza.
