El-Sisi to Engage in High-Level Talks with EU Leaders in Brussels

Brussels: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi is set to engage in a series of high-level meetings with senior European Union officials during his multi-day visit to Brussels. The Egyptian leader's itinerary includes significant discussions and events aimed at strengthening Egypt-EU relations.

According to State Information Service Egypt, President El-Sisi will begin his diplomatic engagements by meeting Kaja Kallas, the EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, at his residence. This meeting will precede his visit to the European Commission headquarters, where further talks are anticipated.

President El-Sisi will also participate in the concluding session of an Egypt-EU economic event, held on the sidelines of the European Summit. During this session, he is expected to deliver a speech that will highlight the economic collaboration between Egypt and the EU.

Following these engagements, the Egyptian President will visit the European Council headquarters for discussions with European Council President Ant³nio Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. The summit will culminate in a joint press conference with EU leaders, showcasing the outcomes of their discussions.

In honor of President El-Sisi's visit, a formal dinner will be organized, with leaders and prime ministers from 21 European countries anticipated to attend, underscoring the significance of this diplomatic visit.

The following day, President El-Sisi is scheduled to visit the European Parliament. His agenda includes a working breakfast and a meeting with Parliament President Roberta Metsola, further emphasizing the importance of Egypt's ties with European institutions.
