Cairo: Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli met on Monday, September 15, 2025, with Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation Rania El Mashat to review efforts made to govern public investments for Fiscal Year 2024/2025, in the presence of President of the Central Auditing Organization Mohamed El Faisal along with a number of officials.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Madbouli emphasized the importance that all government bodies adhere to the financial ceiling set for total public investments, in accordance with decisions of the government regarding the formation of a committee for the governance of public investments.
Mashat affirmed that public investment governance has become a key tool in addressing economic challenges, including reducing inflation rates and lowering debt levels, while also creating space for private sector investment.
In this context, the minister presented a report summarizing the efforts to govern public investments during the 2024/2025 fiscal year. She further noted that her ministry has been continuously auditing related data with the relevant bodies on a regular basis, in addition to reforming the structure of public companies.
