Cabinet Spokesman Mohamed el-Homosani said that the meeting reviewed ongoing efforts by relevant authorities to develop Egypt's agricultural fertilizer industry, with a focus on increasing self-sufficiency and improving Egypt's competitiveness in export markets. The spokesman further noted that efforts are underway to develop and modernize the fertilizer distribution system to ensure that subsidies reach eligible farmers and prevent any misuse.
He added that the prime minister stressed the importance of continuing to enhance governance of the distribution process, expanding service digitization, and completing the removal of fraudulent land ownership records, key steps toward tightening oversight across the entire supply chain, from production to delivery.
